WBC crooks up to their usual bs this time changing Chavez jr's fight from the 24 to the 17 so he could fight on the same day as Canelo, but, with a little twist. Chavez jr now doesnt have to defend the title on that new date. No reason given. :D:lol::patsch saw it on a spanish boxing site

Tbh I think that's a good move from them. It's a joke fight, especially for a "world" *use that very losely* title

The mexican boxing councils pulling rabbits out the hat again. No wonder Pac fought Cotto for the wbo title instead of Berto for the wbc.

Man Chavez has gotta step up. Canelo too. No more Gomez fights. Props to Cotto fighting Margarito to take care of unfinished business. 2012 the 154 better start cracking

wait, this could be some **** to screw Sergio, because now they will be allowed to take another fight between him and a mandated Sergio Martinez fight.

Yes. That is what they are trying to do. Sergio should just move on too since JCC Jr. is another fight (besides Mayweather and Pac) he won't be getting. They just don't want these fighters near Sergio Martinez! If I were Martinez, after Barker, I would take Williams (since its a good money fight) and kick his ass once again. Then probably take on Lara or try to do a catchweight fight with Abraham (which I think Martinez can beat and will be a good money fight too). Fight once again against Pavlik to kick his ass once more or fight another catchweight against either Bute/Ward/Froch ($$$)

The obvious choices people will want are Pirog and Golovkin but at the mean time they aren't money worthy. Sergio is looking for retirement checks. But I won't mind seeing either Pirog and Golovkin vs Martinez.

I think the Gomez Canelo is fighting is better then the one Cotto fought to be honest. Chavez jr has been fighting cupcakes like crazy, hes gotta step it up. 2012 is gonna be a great year at 154

I wouldn't say Chavez jr has been fighting cupcakes. The guy he fought in Zbik is certainly steps higher than Matthew Hatton or even Rhodes. The dude is also in a higher weight class than either fighter.

I have to agree with you. Zbik is better than Rhodes and Hatton and in all honesty I was expecting Zbik to walk right through Chavez. But then again, once Chavez gets in the ring with Rubio, Martinez, Pirog, GGG, Lemiux or any other "good" fighter that doesn't fight like Zbik, Chavez is done.
