WBC orders Canelo to fight Benavidez in 2024

Hopefully this finally gets Canelo to either fight a legit contender or stop holding the belts hostage. Can see the WBC going back on this or pulling some franchise rubbish, nothing surprises me with them.

 

I guess they forgot what Canelo did when they ordered him to fight GGG before.

 

They proved he was ducking.

This way we see a fight or a confirmed duck again.

 

Munguia in May, Benevidez in September!!

It means Benavidez will be knocked out in 2024.

 

I wish people would learn to read. Nowhere did Suliman say anything about ordering anything, or that the fight must happen in 2024. Stop posting fake news ffs. Suliman just does his usual political dribble without saying anything. The fight would have been ordered already if he was serious. WBC rules say the champ must fight his mando every 12 months, yet its been 3 years now.

Charlo in May, maybe Munguia in Sept. and Benavidez in 2025.

Oh, and before you guys start the he's waiting for Benavidez to get old excuses, Benavidez is considerably younger than Canelo.

The crux of it,

This in in reference to Canelo's team talking to Benavidez's team for those wondering. Benavidez is set to be the mandatory in March. I think its a great idea if they fight in May, but its possible it might happen in September instead which I'd also be fine with.

I just want to see them finally go at it whenever they do fight.

 

I saw that interview. WBC will require a date in May, probably following the fight.

I hope that Benavidez who has a weak resume fights Munguia who also has a weak resume, and the winner gets Canelo in September or May 2025.

My guess is that each fighter will take on weak opposition as they are accustomed.

 

So Canelo is waiting for Canelo to get old. Genius strategy!

 

Perhaps no one is waiting for anyone to get old, but maybe there's another reason, maybe one being that Canelo is collecting as much easy money as he can before he faces the toughest challenge he currently has at SMW.
