Seems like with your last comment you have announced to everyone you are happy Canelo holding up the division and taking another few soft touches, and don’t even Yildirim as a mandatory. He was absolute pants and Canelo requested him. It’s embarrassing using him as some kind of great defence. Canelo has faced one ranked opponent in 2 years while holding all 4 belts. No matter what you say, you can’t justify that.

Simply no, he can’t hold the division hostage, that’s not how boxing works and has been what Tyson Fury has been doing. Canelo is a great fighter with a great legacy but let’s be real, he has been a recipient of highly questionable and likely corrupt judging, escaped a PED scandal, and done the Mayweather approach of carefully selecting his opponents. Benavidez would be an excellent win for him, a fight which imo he would win, so there’s no reason for him not to face him if he still wants to be undisputed.

Bro, if you're going to lie or speak out of ignorance and don't really want to have a real boxing discussion let me know.

Yildirim fought and beat Mock for the Intl WBC title in 2018, making him be next in line for the title. Meaning, had Benavidez not done cocaine, Yildirim would have fought Benavidez in 2019. Instead the WBC brought in Dirrell to replace Benavidez to fight Yildirim for now the Vacant WBC SMW title.

Dirrell won a Technically Decision against Yildirim in the 10th round when the fight was stopped becauseof a cut on Dirrell from an accidental headbutt that happeneda few rounds earlier, in a fight that was very close that could have gone either way.

Yildirim took some time off and when he was ready to fight again, the WBC awarded him next in line again for the same title, by the time that happened, Benavidez had won it and again lost it, this time to the scales. Canelo fights for the again Vacant title against Smith, wins, and fulfills his mandatory by fighting Yildirim.

I'm not happy about anyone holding any belts hostage, but if anyone deserves a few passes it's Canelo for the work he's put in compared to his peers.

None of this changes the fact Canelo requested the WBC to order the fight. Why isn’t he doing the same with Benavidez? It’s simple really, only a fool wouldn’t be able to see it.

Canelo has had multiple free passes, requesting Yildirim, cherrypicking Khan, Fielding, Jermell, a cooked GGG, everyone his level is entitled to a few, doesn’t mean you can’t keep doing while ducking the best challenger out there.

Congratulations for admitting the truth, Canelo is ducking Benavidez to cherry pick no hopers from lower divisions. You can lap it up, the rest of us will not.

No champion deserves a pass of any sort

It makes a mockery of the mandatory system

Lol.. go through my post history the last week. I've been consistent in saying that Canelo being at the tail end of his career, and doing more than 99% of fighters today will get a pass from me for putting off the Benavidez fight to take easy money fights, if that's what he wishes to do.

This isn't a gotcha moment lol.. I've been very clear

    Welcome to boxing. Lol

Where have you been the last several decades? There's a reason why boxing is where it's at, and Canelo didn't cause this.

The fact you are condoning this level of ducking is worrying.

So because others have done it it makes it ok for Canelo to do it an egregious amount? Fanboy talk.

Actually yes, because Canelo has done more than 99% of fighters today.

Were you this loud when Bivol was ducking Beterbiev for almost 7 years?

    I think not lol
