That's easy: 1. Klitschko - long reigning ATG 2. Wilder - dangerous, but limited, undefeated WBC champion (HOFer) 3. Chisora - a solid contender capable of going the distance with Vitali who was completely outclassed in the rematch by Fury 4. Cunningham - former 2x IBF Cruiserweight champion 5. Hammer - a solid fringe contender who he retired on his stool (but Fury failed a PED test). Oh...
And from this "amazing" resume and body of work, Fury is somehow the best heavyweight? Chisora has 11 losses. Klitschko was 39 and Fury won in the worst eyesore of a fight ever recorded. Wilder fought bums his entire career and avoided the best, just like Fury. Cunningham was an OK cruiserweight but did NOTHING at heavyweight. And Hammer. That's the best Furys got. Yet somehow he has conned all of you into believing he is unbeatable
Most of scoring is punches landed. To get a close round, he would have to show effective aggression, and, as said, since it was Uysk that staggered Chisora, it was Usyk that had the effective aggression.
Maybe Fury will donate his entire purse. You know, like how he supposedly donated his entire fight purse to charity? Or was that another lie from him?...
Well this is where I stand on Fury: I think he is the best from what I have seen in the ring. However, I also want him to prove this, not just talk about it. This is what I want to see... /puts on fan-boy hat: Step 1) He already has the fight that signified the passing of the torch to the new guard. Klitschko (tick) Step 2) Clear out your peer group. (Let's call it the Olympic Class '08 and '12 and other top pros who took a different route) So he has beaten, Wilder - great, that is one. Next up Whyte, then Usyk and Joshua. That's enough to stamp his mark on his own peer group. Step 3) Show your dominance by beating one of the next generation. (Let's call it the Olympic class of '16). Joyce (though older) is the current stand-out - Yoka and Hrgovic have yet to fully development into legitimate contenders. So, finish by beating Joyce, then we can start talking about retirement. Everything after that is icing on the legacy
A very decent last post on which i agree. I think - Whyte, Usyk and Joshua is 100% enough to prove Fury is the best boxer of this generation and you can make a solid case for him being a nightmare H2H after this series of win. Tho at least in my mind i see him beating Whyte, but loses to both AJ and Usyk. People say Fury is a nightmare stylistically to both - AJ and Usyk, and from what i see from him(personal opinion) it's exactly the opposite, and both AJ and Usyk are nightmares for him. And i to be fair think both will KO him.
Because he is shorter than Wilder and Klitschko, he can get in middle range and throw effective shots using his relatively long arms. I said, he also has an effective short-range left hook which he can KO his opponents.
When you have long arms, you can hit your opponent with more power when swinging, using your momentum. Also as I said in my previous post, he will be able to reach Fury's head when he gets into mid-range, Fury is tall.
Why do people bring up this crap all the time? How do you have any idea what money Fury has or has not donated? **** off.
Usyk staggered Chisora once or twice in the fight and he definitely won the rounds in which he did. The consensus on eyeonthering is that Usyk won 8-4; a slightly wider margin than the British judges had it and closer overall to 9-3 than 7-5. It was a clear win but Usyk didn't have things all his own way, same as the Nistor fight in the WSB.
If 11 loss Chisora gets credit for going the distance with an allegedly injured 40+ Vitali, Wallin should get more credit for going the distance with 31 year old Fury and giving a better account of himself in the process than Chisora did. Also, how many 6'5, 240 lbs southpaws of any quality are there in HW history? Not very many, which makes Wallin very awkward and hard to prepare for. Wallin is better than anyone on that list barring Wlad and Wilder, which he will prove in due course if guys like ancient Ortiz and Whyte will fight him. There's also no way Chisora should be ranked above a 2x cruiserweight champ like Cunningham, who would have run rings around the fat plodders in the top 15.
Quite right, Fury is actually better now. And the same Whyte who went life and death over 23 rounds with Chisora ? Have a day off Mitchadyamn, A quick check of your CVs will show you that.
