It's not a bad fight and there could be some great moments but,,it's not really the one I wanted to see. I was wondering though, does Fury hit hard enough to really get Whyte outta there? Whyte just got sloppy against Povetkin and was nailed with a huge uppercut. I suspect Fury boxes his jaws but does Whyte have any sort of chance at victory?
Either that or the WBC's lawyers have told the WBC, Whyte might actually have a chance of winning and this is the best way to mitigate the situation.
I thought mandatorys don't get rematches? Maybe I heard that in the Teo-Kambsos fight (never heard that before)
Whyte has been knocked down or out by every decent boxer he's ever faced, more or less. It may go the distance but I wouldn't be surprised if Fury wore him down and sparked him out late like he did Wilder.
Wonder if it will be a 55 45 spit if it goes to purse bids? or if Whyte will be good boy and just accept his flat fee.
I think he will let it go to the purse as he doesn’t want to be tied in to the mandatory. It is the logical fight, and the whole build up will be entertaining as will the fight. Let AJ fight Usyk and the winners fight. If AJ accepts a payoff to back out of the Usyk fight then that’s ridiculous IMO and shows how fragile he is.
