WBC orders Fury vs Whyte

Yes, but your argument is that the WBC are acting bizarrely now by ordering Fury-Whyte doesn't work IF (as I suspect) Whyte has pressed his case with legal proceedings.
You say you don't care about legal proceedings. But that's not a serious answer. I don't care either but Dillian Whyte and the WBC and other involved parties surely do.

 

Everybody rated Ortiz higher than Whyte.
Whyte being #1 in WBC rankings in 2017 was generous, to put it mildly. Where did you have him rated in November 2017?

If I remember rightly, WBC ordered a Whyte v Breazeale eliminator in 2018 or 2019 but it fell through.

Whyte was #1 on their crappy list but he wasn't their "mandatory".

Whyte is a good easy tune up for Fury anyway.
And Usyk is bound to an AJ rematch next anyway.
It is not all bad.

 

AJ and Usyk will be going ahead

Whyte has been mandatory for about 25 years now and it's the next best fight out there, especially as a Brit.

Two Brits for a world title in a fight where there will be needle in the build up. In the meantime, AJ and Usyk look to wrap up there business and then HOPEFULLY we will see an undisputed clash between the winners in the summer.

 

It's not that bad.
Fury gets an easy fight lined up to sharpen up. Whyte gets exposed as the bum he is. Usyk whips AJ again, we get the big fight between Fury and Usyk around July next year maybe.
Not bad at all.

 

Any fight featuring the heavyweight champion is watchable. Better than another year or two of inactivity.

I'd rather see Fury fight a bum like Whyte than not see him fighting at all.

And people say Whyte deserves to get a title shot before his career is done. A LOT has been made of that.

I don't think Fury v Whyte is a good fight at all, but it will do as a keep busy fight. Might shows us how far Fury has slipped, if at all.

AJ gets a big enough amount of money to step aside, it would have to be an insane amount, who would say no if it was stupid money. Nobody. Not going to happen.

Joshua looking to get out of the Usyk fight is pure nonsense and if anything his career has shown he is willing to take risky fights, the first Wlad fight, the Ruiz Jr rematch, trying to make the Wilder fight, trying to make the Fury fight and then ultimately facing Usyk. Some saying he wouldn't even face Usyk to begin with.

Then he's supposed to get a written guarantee to face the winner of Fury v Usyk. When? 2 yrs from now? After they have their own rematches. What's he supposed to do in the meantime? What if he loses? Does he still get the rematch?

We all want to see Fury v Usyk next. It's not going to happen. Just like people crying about the 3rd Fury v Wilder rematch. It's pointless speculation.
