That was scandalous! If that had happened in Germany, people would have brought it up twice a week at least.

Ivan Golub got the same treatment or even worse... That's what those EE prospects get if they fight local ones on PBC.

Haven't seen that fight, but it doesn't surprise me in the least.

Even worse the ref decided not to call 2 KDs (or at least they were much closer to being KDs than that one was) Hot Rod scored later on in the fight.

    No doubt.

I've seen the fight and was fuming! Even with all the referee's bogus calls, Browne still shouldn't have won on the judges' cards. A total clusterf__k!

And on that same card 2 of the 3 American judges scored every round to Robert Easter in his fight against Shafikov. It was an extremely competitive fight and one in which many feel Shafikov won or at least was deserving of a draw. They didn't even give him a round.

Then obviously we also had Ward vs Kovalev I & II and GGG vs Canelo, too.

Shafikov is one of the most underrated fighters in boxing - don't expect him to get a fair shake against these 5'11 - 6' 77-80 inch reach bullies. Remember telling a few one here that while he would lose to Easter would be an extremely competitive fight, the claim was scoffed at it. Look what happened... Very tight fight(if you scored without agenda) I had Easter winning by maybe a round or 2. Seriously though... Disgusts me that this guy hasn't received critical praise for how he was able to perform against MUCH larger opponents where he was the B-side on almost every single occasion.

Yeah he's quality and a tough as old boots warrior who always comes to fight hard and give the fans their moneys worth.

Yes all 3 of his losses (all title fights) came against huge lightweights. Easter is 5'11'' with a 76'' reach, Barthelemy is 5'11'' with a 73'' reach, and Vasquez is 5'10'' with a 72'' reach.

Does it sound like Broner thinks his boy just won a 120-108 fight?

Easter Jr. came off pretty well in the post-fight interview I thought, but most of the respect gained for him quickly went out the window in the aftermath of Broner/Garcia. Jacobs was disgraceful that night too....

Shafikov = Mini-Glen Johnson of sorts.. In style and spirit. Road warriors like him are few in far between these days. Another road warrior Carson Jones was disgracefully robbed of a signature win against a faded Margarito in Mexico last month... You've got to be tough as nails to constantly fight on the road and still keep motivated while being frequently robbed.

I didn't see Jones vs Margarito but I remember him coming over here giving Kell Brook everything he could handle. Tough, game guy. I've watched quite a few of his interviews and he's a cool guy too.
