I wouldn't call it bitching out to choose to fight Haye for a title over Solis for an opportunity to fight for a different title. It might be great from our perspective, clearing the path for Wlad-Haye, but from his perspective, it doesn't make much sense.
i'm with ya. That's why i'm thinking James Toney might be a very happy man right now, it could fall his way.
I would be shocked if Team Valuev takes that fight when they have a rematch with Haye card in their pocket
I agree, Valuev won't take this fight. Vitali will beat him easily. Valuev has a better chance against David Haye.
Maybe Suliaman doesn't realize that Valuev is next in line for the WBA belt. Yea right, something fishy is going on here.
If Solis can gat down to at least 240 (though I think he should be at 220) he should win. No more of this 270+ BS.
King had Austin's rights, too. But Austin doesn't want to fight for King anymore. So now he's not fighting, period. Nate Campbell tried to get out of his contract, too, and was left without a pot to **** in for quite awhile.
I can't see Valuev taking this fight, he can make a lot more money against Haye. I wouldn't be surprised if we still get Solis-Austin. Austin is making some noise about him being passed up for his shot. He says he able to fight Solis so I think we still see that fight.
This is strange. Why would Valuev fight an eliminator, when he has a garunteed fight agaisnt Haye, and could have had Vitali eariler in the year if he wanted him? As King himself would say, there are trickerations going on.
It would be pure madness for Valuev to take that fight, even a very fat Solis beats him easily, it's an almost guaranteed loss. The style matchup is just as bad for him as against Haye. Valuev needs slow guys. Well, they did reject a career-high purse for a fight against Vitali so you never know what that senile crook Don king is trying to pull.
