I don't mind this fight happening right now. Seems about the right time for it to happen. Both guys are at the same level, and neither guy is ready for the elite super middleweights right now IMO, but fighting each other is a step in the right direction.

Anyway, if it happens I got Dirrell by UD.

No what im saying is from the second that Dirrell beat Oganov many european fans have been calling for him to fight Ward, and Green. None are saying man I want to see him fight Bute, Kessler Froch or any non american fighter. At the same time they are claiming that american fighters are ducking European fighters..That my friend is what im stuck on:good

Love to have it both ways

This fight doesnt make sense right now. I agree with the others. These 2 guys are not prospects who need to have a "box off". Both are legitimate belt holders, witht he edge to ward for his crossover potential.

per ususual the fighters should ignore the WBC and make their own fights and ghet belts, this way the fight earns a much bigger payday for them down the road and has more at stake.

Dirrell (hell, Ward to a lesser degree) has some proving to do before I call him a "legitimate" belt holder. Berto is a belt holder whose legitimacy gets called into question all the time. What has Dirrell done that Berto hasn't?

Yeah it makes no sense...Both guys pick up belts which will have happened by this time next year, then the fight is worth a mill more per fighter. Right now they are looking at 200k maybe, next year at this time 1.2 1.5 million each.

Dirrell is straight up and down conventional fighter who has no power. Ward has no power either, but is a much better skilled fighter.

    I hate this argument.

A few months ago, everyone was saying the same thing about Kirkland and Angulo. Now one is in jail, one just lost, who knows if the fight will ever happen and they missed out on a slightly bigger payday then what they recently got.

But, back to the fight, tough fight to call. I slightly lean towards Dirrell. He has more power and he may even be faster. His big problem is focus, but, I think/hope he'd be focused for a fight against Ward.

I would be very surprised if this fight happens. Next year, yes. This year, there isn't much of a chance.

This fight shouldn't happen yet, it is way too soon.
