    New story and didn't see a thread for it. I guess that greedy ****ing vulture wants Canelo to build his name by being a mexican who knocks Mosley out.

    I heard Baldy even had Alvarez a little knocked? I haven't been able to see that fight, I was still deployed at the time.

    I read about what happened against Jose Cotto. Doesn't bode well for Alvarez.

    Eh...Shane is always willing to try out the younger fighters and show he can still hang. After his loss and that Draw, i'm sure he'd be willing to prove he still has something left. If he loses, he retires(maybe) and GBP has an even more marketable prospect with a very, VERY high profile scalp to his name.

    I would love this fight even though I don't think Alvarez is ready yet. But apparently to everyone else Shane is shot to **** so why not?

    It actually isn't that bad of a move for GBP. Even if Alvarez loses, they can say he lost to a great fighter, he's only 20, so on and so forth. But they're both GBP fighters, I don't see how it wouldn't be an exciting fight, and if Alvarez were to win, they'd have a star in the making.

    hahahaha i know seriously....they made it seem like mosley is all the sudden the new mexicutioner when no one thought of him that way, especially since everyone thinks he lost to de la hoya the second time LOL

    Alvarez is on his way to big things. Eventually.

    Mosley isn't what he was, but the remains of Mosley would be too much for Alavarez at this point.

    You think Cotto had Alvarez in trouble, Mosley would've took his head off.

    Pit Alvarez against Chavez Jr or Andre Berto. If he wins then pit him against Mosley.

    You don't put someone in against a legend unless they beat a contender.

    Unless the fight is fixed, Alvarez can't win. Mosley is not in his league.

    what's with everyone thinking that, barring a fix, it's impossible for certain people to win?

    Alvarez showed he had power. If he turns out to be a better boxer, that's how you beat Shane. You outbox him. That's how Cotto did it, that's how Floyd did it. You outbox Shane and if Alvarez can stay away from his power, he should be okay.

    Alvarez vs Berto isn't a bad idea though. I find it funny though that Alvarez has been touted as a Welter but keeps on fighting JrMW. That could be a good fight for Alvarez, get him a real (IE:not Silver,Diamond,Bronze, Aluminium, Kryptonite) title. Let Mosley get a good win over someone, pit them against each other.

    He probably won't fight JCC Jr. I don't see the GBP/TR Cold War part 2 ending anytime soon. Least til Bob kicks it.
