Mosley has never lost to a mexican fighter so that might make an interesting selling point. There are still questions regarding Alvarez's chin after getting floored by Jose Cotto. He also looked bothered by a few of the shots that light hitter, Baldomir, managed to land on his jaw. I expect the Mosley fight to provide the answers people are seeking.

Like Holyfield, Mosley does best now against guys that stand in front of him that can be hit pretty easily.

I'm still not 100% sold on Canelo, although his KO of Baldomir impressed me, but it's obvious to me SSM is way past his prime and IMO Canelo has a good shot against him.

If Canelo fights and beats, or even stops, Mosley, I wouldn't know what to make of Mayweather's destruction of Mosley just over a year earlier. Maybe he was shot for a few years but Margarito just had the style for him to exploit, not unlike Pavlik making Hopkins look like a 25 year old.

Well apparently he aint the only one ,

Schaefer has said (just looked high and low for a source , cant find one but i heard this ****er somewhere) that Alvarez vs Mosley in Mexico is a possibility , as he beleives Alvarez is ready .

Now given that Alvarez must be near top 10 status , then i ask all you people saying " he's not reay " , why the **** not ???

Fact is the kid wants to be a top WW , Mosley is a top WW

    End of dit ........................

    What an interesting proposition.

On one hand, the time to get to mosley would be now.... hes old, hes wearing out, and Saul's people and him might want to capatilize on that name before someone else further takes the shine off of Mosleys current status.

On the other, one would be logical in thinking that hes nowhere near ready, and even an old shane would probably finish Canelo before the final bell (imo)

It would be one ballsy move if they took this fight, but it would have a very high upswing as well, as it would put Sauls name and face out there like never before for American audiences.

So, do they risk Mosley losing to someone else and pass on the chance of Alvarez having a break out fight like this? Or do they put him in with the young gun in a sink or swim type fight for Canelo?

    I dont think they do.

Canelo isn't ready for Sugar Shane yet. Within the next year or so, I'll still take SSM by some kind of stoppage mid to late rounds.
