    The logic is Canelo is cash cow, win or lose vs Floyd.

    :lol:

    There's no beef, a fight is just imminent and I'm excited for it. I gave him plenty of respect for the Trout fight when people were saying he didn't really win.

    I guess you could say I'm bitter Mares doesn't get a fraction of his press despite continually taking challenges and being a much better fighter. JMM knows what's up with the stage management too. :good

    I say 1 more. Canelo fan base is overhyped imo. Don't get me wrong the kid has a huge following. But not yet at that DLH,Mayweather,Pac level. It still needs to grow a bit more for this fight to reach maximum profits. May 2014 is perfect. Put em in there with Cotto.

    Which is why it's pathetic GBP feels they've needed to stage manage his career in his early 20s. Does Floyd do it? Absolutely. He was getting in everyone's ass and dominating top competition at Canelo's age though. He 'earned' it.

    on the scene

    Schaefer said he has already begun early negotiations for a Mayweather-Saul "Canelo" Alvarez fight for that night. (i.e. Sept. 14)
    "I've started having conversations and I'm planning on probably getting together some time later this week with Al Haymon (Mayweather's adviser) and talk to Canelo as well, and see if it can get done," Schaefer said.

    SHO is applying the pressure.

    To CANELO's credit, he demanded Trout. I'm sure he wants May too.

    I definitely overestimated it. Despite having far less subscribers than HBO, I expected much better ratings than what the Trout fight ended up drawing. He's definitely popular and has a large base to tap into but among a variety of other reasons, I'd like this fight to get done before his ego and leverage increases any more.

    Again;

    Why didn't Floyd fight him now when..

    Canelo wanted it, casuals, writers and us wanted it, GBP & Showtime NEEDED it?

    I guess they go to same doctor and that's the big problem. :)
