WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman blocking Bivol-Beterbiev

What a chump.

 

Having the politics so deep into the sport we know that the sport sucks and is totally corrupted.

This federation sucks, so does Sulaiman.

 

Beterbiev’s not Russian anymore?

 

not sure how i feel about this.

 

According to the WBC, Beterbiev is Canadian, eh!

It's sort of like my roommate in college who was Iranian, but he wanted everyone to call him Shawn and say he was from Mexico. None of it made much sense.

 

I wonder if Sulaiman would have this same stance if Bivol held the WBC.

 

If Bivol announced he wanted to move up to Bridgerweight, I'm sure an exception could be made.

 

This fight is bigger than any corrupt organization . I dont care about those popcorn belts i just want to see this fight and whoever wins it is the undisputed man at 175 with or without the belts.

 

The scenario in which everybody wins:

• First, Canelo fights Bivol, at 175. Bivol takes a dive for $10M and loses to Canelo. Canelo becomes WBA champion.
• Then Canelo fights Beterbiev. Beterbiev takes a dive for $10M and loses to Canelo. Canelo becomes WBC, IBF, WBO, WBA champion.
• Canelo becomes an even bigger cash cow, undisputed super middleweight and light heavyweight champion.

Considering Beterbiev was paid only $750K for Yarde fight, it will be like a lottery prize for him. And for Bivol too. They both could quit boxing and start their own clothing brands.

 

In that case how about Bivol just identifies as a Mexican? That would surely make Sulaiman happy having another Mexican champion?

 

Sulaiman is as corrupt as it gets. Pretty sure he receives some paychecks for banning Russians from competing under the WBC flag. He wouldn't do **** without getting some nice money for those actions.
