Over the weekend Boxing Scene caught up with WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman to get an update on the pending super-fight between WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto and former unified super welterweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

Golden Boy President Oscar De La Hoya has been in the press trying to put pressure on Cotto's team to accept terms for the fight. De La Hoya claimed that all of the details of the fight had been agreed upon accept for an immediate rematch clause.

Cotto recently appeared on the radio show La Perrera de la Solsoul where he called Oscar a niƱa malcriada (spoiled little girl) when asked about the promoter's comments.

I asked Sulaiman if he believes these barbs in the press could be a sign that the fight is falling apart and he said that he remains very confident that the fight will happen.

"I am positive we will see it. We have done everything that needs to be done for it to happen. Whenever there is a Puerto Rican and a Mexican in the ring or outside the ring it is going to be very heated. Oscar from Mexico and Miguel Cotto from Puerto Rico - they are going at each other right now (and that's) not even counting the fighter Canelo. When they meet in the ring it is going to be something for the ages. We are going through a great moment in boxing," Sulaiman explained.

The follow up to that question was whether Sulaiman would allow the proposed immediate rematch given that he had previously stated that the winner must face interim champion Gennady Golovkin in their next fight.

"No, the winner must fight Gennady Golovkin then (after that) they can do whatever they want," Suilman told Boxing Scene.

Of course the fighters could always choose to relinquish the belt if they decide to have an immediate rematch."

So, after their fight, they can choose to either fight GGG next or give him the belt. I'm happy with either.

Cotto would be stripped. I doubt Canelo would want to be stripped. I expect him to fight GGG early spring. Maybe Cinco De Mayo??? ;)

Of all people to call someone a spoiled little girl. Cotto has no shame.

Cotto will drop the belt instead of face GGG, but Canelo will win and then lose the belt to GGG, because unlike he's a real man and will actually face Golovkin, unfortunately.

Cotto hasn't been photographed in fishnet pantyhose and high heels.

Marlon Brando was a bisexual and he was still more of a man than Cotto.:deal

So was Julius Caesar and Alexander The Great.

Despite what people say about the WBC, and despite being correct to point out how the have "arranged" things in the past, I think they are serious now.

When they shafted Martinez, he was a small room fighter. Talked about in boxing circles, sure - but a small room fighter nonetheless.

I checked ticketmaster, only 2k-2500 tix left by my quick approximation. Lower bowl entirely sold out except for a handful of solo seats. Basically all the non-nosebleeds are already gone.

WBC is not going to shaft a PPV fighter who sells out the Garden, and it would be VERY surprising to say the least if MSG did not sell the remaining tickets in 2 months.

What does any of that have to do with Cotto calling Oscar a little girl? And how do you know how much of a man Cotto is? Cotto has kids so I assume he can function as a man in the bedroom unless you happen to know differently. Oscar opened himself up to these kind of comments by prancing around in fishnet pantyhose and high heels.

He wears pink and is madly in love with his flabby flying squirrel of a boyfriend Bryan Perez, so Cotto has no room to talk.

So what Oscar is a kinky guy at least he was coked up and with a girl, my point is, you can't always judge how manly someone is based solely on their sexuality or perverse behavior, sometimes the manliest guys with a wife and 7 kids are the most p-whipped guys in the world.

Oscar is far more of a man than Cotto is, and he always will be.:deal

He is less of a man because he wears pink but Oscar wears pantyhose and high heels and is more of a man? GTFOH! That probably didn't even make sense to you.

No Oscar is more of a man because he's more of a man, even in drag he's more of a man, he's not some f**gy diva that has to have every little teeny tiny thing goes his way or he'll jump up and run out of negotiations in a snit like a broad, I think its been well documented how much of b**** Cotto has turned into in recently.

He called Oscar a spoiled little girl when in fact it is he who is the spoiled little girl and he's been acting the part for years now.
