Everyone claims to be up in arms, about what has happened, but all you are doing is giving the WBC name attention.

If you do not want the WBC to exist, boycott it, ignore it, then if enough people do it, it will go away.

This Emertrius Champion bull**** was created specificly for Vitali, I have followed this sport since I was in short pants let me tell you I have never EVER heard of the Emertrius Champion until Vitali retired.
Peter has twice paid sanctioning fees and won both fights against Toney doesnt matter how you think the first fight went, Peter won that and proved he won it in the rematch either way Vitali should not be in the top ten after a two year lay off he should have to take a fight or two before being rated there.
again Who else has there been that has been the Emertrius Champion? I bet you cant name on prior to V Klitschko, and you think its King trying to dogg out the Klits, looks to me like the Klits have the WBC on their payroll

Maskaev has refused this specific contract: it doesn't mean that he won't take the fight. He only needs to accept if he's being offered it on the proper standard terms for a mandatory. They should make sure he's being offered what he should be, and strip him if he doesn't take that, not create a third champ (after Maskaev, and the "Emeritus" Vitali) in Peter.

 

ya this is total crap. but I would say the wbc is no worse than the other sanctioning bodies. see Ray Austin vs. Wladimir Klitschko as to how a title shot can be corrupt.

 

But that's just it; they are not offering him what he should be getting. Maskaev being the titleholder should get his fair percentage of 70, or 75%. Why should he tuck his tail and accept a mere 55%, when he's in the twilight of his career, and fought like hell to finally get here?



I may be wrong, and no offense to those who disagree..........but I don't see how they can suddenly overturn the standard purse split and screw Oleg out of 20% that is rightly his. Just because they think Peter may be a bigger draw in the US does not override the fact that Oleg is the titleholder who won the damned thing, and all the clout that goes with it, in the ring.

Being that Peter already fought two fights with Toney the WBC title should be stripped and given to Peter! traditionaly this is how things have gone look at Rahman after Vitali refused to fight him look at Lewis after Bowe dumped the belt.
This is no different Peter should be named the Champion
