The important thing is Alvarez is fighting another top 154-pounder, highly ranked, and no one is allowed to be a unified WBC champion anymore. Because that would really taint the organization.

What kinda bull is that, and who are they trying to fool here?!

I really hate it when they pull tricks like that, certainly as the boxer doesn't need it at all.

Does anyone know where Jose Sulaiman lives? And what kind of security is in place at his home?

They know that casual fans DKSAB. So they do this so the casual fans can say, "Hey he fought/beat a top 5 154 pounder."

And even with the ones that do KSAB, we will still tune in to watch mismatches.

its like how the IBF magically ranked Yusaf Mack #6 in the 168 pound division so they could justify him being in a title fight

i like this fight, Lopez pulled off a big upset over Ortiz and should be rewarded with the chance to try another

if he fights with the guts and energy he had vs Ortiz i dont see why he couldnt give Alavrez a real tough battle

    good fight i think

Business as usual, really. All of the major sanctioning bodies have been known to manipulate the ratings to serve their needs and justify certain matches.

That being said, Lopez did beat the guy who was scheduled to meet Canelo inside the ring. Therefore, it only stands to reason that Josesito should receive consideration for the chance to meat Alvarez inside the ring- and to assume Ortiz's ranking (however undeserved that might have been).

No one should be surprised if they are a veteran boxing fan.

The WBC if one of the most blatantly corrupt "official" sports organizations in the world.

No hate for Lopez who pulled off a good win agains Ortiz @ 147. But he's literally done NOTHING at 154 but sign a contract for a unfair (weight wise) fight.
