I think I look at it quite similarly to CST80, so allow me to explain myself. All of them are likely to be guilty, but I want it to be beyond reasonable doubt before advocating punishment. I was willing to give Povetkin the benefit of the doubt the first time for meldonium, as his explanation was at least believable. But the 2nd time, ostarine, is worse and puts it beyond reasonable doubt so in my books he's a cheat. Besides there's the circumstantial evidence of his performances being a good deal better with PEDs. Nery and Browne (1st time) tested positive for much milder substances. Nery tested positive for a weight-gaining substance, which makes no sense as he struggles to make 118. Plus it is still used in many countries' beef. So for now he is OK in my books, it's not conclusive against him. Browne tested positive for clenbuterol, a weight-cutting substance. Again that made no sense, plus the circumstances the first time were dodgy. So I gave him the benefit of the doubt then, however the second test for ostarine means I consider him a doper as well.
Yeah I do, I love Russia and its culture and people, but I'm not going to pretend like they don't have a long sordid history of doping their fighters up, just like I love America and our culture and people, and I don't bury my head in the sand about our fighters doping either. That being said, Kadyrov is a grade A piece of ****, and is a radical Islamic fundamentalist terrorist Nazi and any fighter who happens to go to that hellhole he governs happen to turn up positive, its not a coincidence. As far as Povetkin goes, he has power, that's obvious, but what he doesn't have is amazing stamina, he was okay, but nothing astonishing, after the loss to Wlad, his stamina improved greatly, and that allowed him to be able to brutally KO fighters late, because they were tired and their punch resistance was faltering, whereas he was still fresh as a daisy due to the meldonium. Now do I think taking meldonium is the worst thing in the world? No I do not, on the list of PED offences, its pretty low on the list, that being said, if meldonium is low on the list, clenbuterol and zilpaterol shouldn't even be on it. So don't try to paint me as a hypocrite by excusing Browne and Nery while you condemn them, while you're condemning Browne and Nery and giving Povetkin a pass. Here's the deal, I've never liked Povetkin, for some reason he's always rubbed me the wrong way, I find him dull and emotionless and incredibly hard to root for. So I may be harsh on him because of my personal agenda against him, fairly or unfairly. Had you even heard of Nery before the Yamanaka fight? How could you dislike Browne? I doubt you have near the issues with them as I do with Povetkin. So how about this, you condemn Povetkin harshly and if you don't excuse Browne and Nery. After all he tested positive twice.
In Browne's defense for the ostarine, it wasn't after a fight or before a fight, it was an out of competition test right? I don't think the Briggs match had been made official yet had it? So who cares.
