    I thought Canelo was the WBC franchise champion, i.e. he doesn't have WBC mandatories

    Good point! Didn't think about that... Yet here is the WBC saying that will be the case. Maybe the whole franchise champion thing got too much negative coverage and their hand is being forced by the public.

    It was dumb in the first place,

    Only the WBC would be daring & corrupt enough to even adapt such a thing because i bet if the WBA tried implementing anything such as this it would have been shunned from the get go by almost all Boxing circles.

    WBC definitely has the most power out of the 4 organizations.

    Indeed it's why they continuously set up shop every few months in self promotion disguised well through various events,

    Suilaman must have a great Marketing team.

    Forgot about GGG though dunno who Shadow is. Is he another boxer Canelo ducked at some point?

    It'd be interesting to see a rematch between him and Plant. If Plant keeps improving and of course learns from his mistakes in the first bout then he might be able to win.

    No chance for Plant,

    If he's not so damaged by Benavidez I'd rather he face either Andrade & Charlo if he isn't demorlaized any further but that time.
