    Anyone have any info on the device the WBC is claiming to be introducing to change the world of boxing.

    Saw the article on Hattong boxing and the WBC website.

    "The WBC will change the world of boxing again

    The president of the WBC Jose Sulaiman announced that he will present a new electronic devise to be use in in boxing, in the next WBC Convention.
    This devise would be used by the judges during the fights.
    In the 90% of boxing rounds, the scores are 10-9 and the judges don’t care if it was a close round or it was clearly one-sided, That has to change in order to achieve justice in boxing. Judges are afraid of scoring 10-8 when one boxer is clearly beating his opponent if there’s no KO.
    Jose Sulaiman, who's lived and breathed boxing for more than 63 years, is confident that this device, which he has been carefully studying for 2 years, will help resolve this issue."

    Thinking maybe something similar to the amateur system or compubox

    Has potential and it would be good to see the wbc actually positively benefiting boxing for the first time in years, However if they mess this up it could really hinder the sport even further, Wait and see scenario i guess.

    The 10 point must system is pretty flawed, and that's one of the main reasons robberies and hometown decisions are so common.
    So it's a good thing if something is done about it, but...

    The biggest problems in boxing now are coming from the freakin' WBC (and Sulaiman) itself, with the WBA coming in a close 2nd as a thorn in boxing's side. :bart

    I was thinking they had far more pressing issues to address such as better drug tests when Chavez fights and getting rid of their ridiculous ratings and they way the hand out belts and sanction fights.

    No doubt fighters/promoters will be forced to use this system, AND pay a cost to the company producing it... Which no doubt has Suleiman on the board of directors...

    Let me guess, it has one button if you want the Mexican fighter to win that round and another button if you want the non-Mexican fighter to lose that round.

    WBC = We Be Chicano

    You want to start a war if you're trying to lump Mexicans and Chicanos into one.
