It will take 18 months to get a winner. Pointless and we all know how 'tournaments' end up with injuries, pull outs, etc. They never work.

Should be Super Six like what they did to the super middleweights.

    Bradley
    Provodnikov
    Maidana
    Thurman
    Brook

By the time this happens Floyd will retire. It's amazing that he's been allowed to hold his 147 and 154 belts.

Light middleweight: talk about a dead division!

Yeah, looking at the seeding I can very well imagine Rabchenko walking through it, and he just lost decisively to Mundine, so for him to emerge as WBC mandatory just speaks to how thin 154lbs is.

The stuff the WBC comes up with to avoid forcing Mayweather defend his titles at either weight or drop them.

And forget Saul Alvarez participating in any tournament like this. He won't. He will just fight whoever is left standing at the end and the WBC will be okay with it.

Also, no Haymon fighter would more than likely participate, specially guys like Khan, Thurman or Garcia if he moves up. Haymon will just line them up with other alphabet titles on a one way ticket straight to the title.

Floyd has dropped belts, gone on vacation, or just refused to fight his mandatory before. This will be no different. Also, since the WBC isn't ranking Pacquiao, Marquez, Brook, Alexander, and Thurman at welterweight any tournament they might throw is a farce.

Super 6 took years to complete. How long would this take?

Floyd's higher power is not the WBC. It's SHO.

We don't need this to happen to know who is Floyd's mandatory & has been since 2009. Manny Paquaio But Floyd refuses to fight him Why do you think it would make any difference if Manny beat every one else out there?? Once a coward Always a coward

Sure, if Maidana deserves to be there the guys who beat Maidana deserve to be there. He might have been beat by Bradley, Khan, and Porter, but he's still got victories over Maidana, Matthysse, and Soto Karass; which is more than you can say for some of the guys in the mix. Khan is rated at #1 and he's lost to Garcia, Prescott, and Peterson; so it's not like one or two losses disqualifies this bunch. Alexander probably beats Decarie, Ion, Avanesyan, Guerrero, Rios, and others.

Good format but Floyd won't fight the winner of that tournament, he'll be retired by then.
