    1 scenario where the WBC belt could be taken out of the super 6 tournament. For simplicity's sake (beers have flown) im saying theyre all points wins.

    Froch beats AA= 4 points
    AA= Finishes on 3
    Ward beats Green but loses to dirrell=4
    Dirrell= Finishes on 4 points and becomes WBA champ
    Green loses to Ward but beats Kessler= 2 points becomes WBC ruler
    Kessler= finishes on 2 points.

    Final standings

    Ward-4
    Froch-4
    Dirrell-4
    Abraham-3
    Green-2
    Kessler-2

    So Green could enter late, win the WBC title and then be eliminated from the tournament taking the title out of the Super 6. All hypothetical and its prob not the only way but its wot i thought of just now. The tournaments brought some great fights especially tonights that we wouldnt necessarily have seen but the flaws in its structure are disappointing and glaring. Well done Kessler on the win and Carl for a very sprited show.

    True but this tournie establishes a number of big fighters to make the division very exciting.

    Bute should be set to fight with the big names from this division.

    It would be a shame if that happened this tournaments draggin up some gr8 fights, shocks and controversy for 1 of the 2 prizes to be out of the competition would show it up i feel. Thoughts?

    Well for sure Bute and Stieglitz shoulda been involved making in an 8-man knockout tourny then ur guaranteed an undisputed champ at the end. Unfortunately boxings never that (politcally) simple. The division has a number of big fighters your right and its showing that on the whole theyre all on a pretty even level (1 guy beats 1 but loses the next) but the Sauerlands proposal when announcing this was to find the best man in the division. Its hard enough to do that with only2 belts involved imagine if theres just 1??

    :good A thing of beauty is a joy forever. Gutted Froch lost but if anything I respect him more. A magnificent battle between two warriors who gave it their all.

    Oh for sure as ive said in other threads to see a proper throwback fight with 2 courageous fighters in there was a real pleasure regardless of who won. Carl got beat fair but it werent a shut out or devastating KO, i disagree with Duke Mc i dont think this takes years off those guys I think it fires em both up more. Much respect. Im simply pointing out that not only does the Super 6 not have ALL the top guys in it but it could end up with the winner only having 1 title=not definitive. Goes against the creators objective. But again awesome fight
