WBC strips Sergio but not Berto? What's up!?

They're quicker on the trigger when it comes down to stripping awesome human beings like Sergio Martinez, than they are when it comes down to evaluating precious Berto's situation. Double standards.

 

they're hoping Berto gets a shot at Pacquiao so they can put the green belt on another top ranked p4p fighter. Floyd doesn't fight for belts anymore and Manny is the darling of the sport. He's held 3 of their belts, wouldn't surprise me if they're holding out and biding their time.

 

apart from Judah's IBF title, Mayweather has always fought for the WBC title.

he even refused to pay the sanction money to the WBA for the Mosley fight, and I also believe Mayweather is still WBC Emeritus 154 champion as well :verysad

 

Berto has guaranteed high dollar purses, Martinez does not, which allow the ABC's to turn a blind eye.

 

I don't think Mayweather would care to give up any of his money to wear their belt a second time though. He's Emeritus for 154 AND 147 I believe. That's what the WBC does. I don't think they even keep track.

So basically, Berto can fight cans and completely ignore his mandatory. Martinez fights Williams and gets stripped because no one wanted to schedule his mandatory, but it's cool cuz he can fight the full WBC champion whenever as Emeritus. But he has to fight Zdinurkukurkukurrr(whatever) to become number 1 contender for his own belt. Meanwhile, the guy who was interim champion for no reason is the full champ and the silver champ gets a shot at the full guy, only to probably relinquish his belt so Martinez doesn't legally murder him when he fights for his own title. Man. Good thing the WBC cleared it all up for us.

Sergio needs to get Al Haymon to be his God Father, and he wouldn't have these issues. He also wouldn't need to fight any live body's. Haymon would get him guaranteed pay days for fighting bums.
