Exactly. I don't know what he's thinking. He's NOT the next best choice after Mayweather/Pacquiao. The next person on Mayweather's list after Pacquiao is Khan. Bradley needed to fight Khan to take his place ahead of him in line. And Pacquiao would be more likely to fight Maidana or Cotto after Mayweather than Bradley.

Bradley would be coming into a new weight, with no belt, no momentum, no fan base, and no signature performance to his credit. Alvarez, Cotto, and Martinez would all be more attractive options for either Mayweather or Pac in 2012-2013. I'd even rank Berto ahead of Bradley as more likely to land a fight with Pacquiao after the Mayweather fight. Bradley's stock dropped in victory as much as Berto's stock rose in defeat.

And while Bradley is sitting idle or taking any safe fight he can, Khan will likely be sweeping the welterweight division and establishing himself as the heir to the Pacquiao/Mayweather era. Khan himself will be too big for Bradley to bother giving him a title shot by then.

Bottom line - Bradley will NEVER fight Mayweather or Pacquiao, and the biggest fight of his career will end up being a horrible welterweight rematch with Devon Alexander.

That Bradley will probably wind up losing

“That's not right,” said Bradley's trainer, Joel Diaz. “Boxing is no longer a sport. It's a business. It's always been a business, but in the past years, boxing was a sport and everything was done right. Every fighter who fought for the championship, you had to step up.”

    The irony is not lost.

if you think about it..that's one less sanctioning body to pay fees to.

He's gonna get a fight down the lion..

I think its going to be Rios/Bradley

And what does this have to do with Boxing? Timothy did not have a mandatory, did not reach the limit by the organizations own standards, and ONE fight fell through. So why was he stripped? To GIVE the belt to someone else?

This is typical of you. YDKSAB so you want to do the personal thing. Problem is I own you there too. You are what you are though. You can't help yourself.

i dont think champs give a **** about the belts after a while. the sanctioning fees and bull**** rankings render the things meaningless after a while. inflated stocks if you ask me. in the end- when fighters reach bradleys age, they want the money. and a fight with pac or floyd- win or lose will get him 8 million upwards- and make him a household name. a fight with kahn will net him 1 million tops- and should he lose- he ll lose his chance at his nest egg.

i dont think fighters give a **** about legacy as much as we do- more peoploe are upset and debate rankings and **** here than real fighters. they care about money like the rest of the people out there- and living a nice life. bradleys gotta do whats best for him- legacies nice- but you gotta house yourself well first in that game- when your likely retired by 35 anyway- and damaged. people can say hes bitching out or whatever- but funny what people would do in the same situation. fight khan for 1 million or pac floyd for 8 times as much.
