I think the comment was racist. I don't think Broner is necessarily a racist however, just too stupid to understand what comes out of his own mouth.

heard they suspended him for a year.........ridiculous if you ask me. doesnt make a difference anyway. danny garcia has wba belt also so broner would probably just fight for that once danny vacates

I hate Broner just as much as the next guy, and that interview was his usual unfunny, cringe worthy crap.........but I don't see how it is racist.

Broner's on thin ice. The other boxing orgs will be accused by Latino civil rights groups who probably complained to the WBC that if they don't follow the WBC's lead and suspend Broner then they support racism. Broner better start eating humble pie and begin his apology tour while he still has time. Rumor has it that the WBO is about to throw Broner under the bus. Political correctness is on the march destroying careers and lives. The difference is that now it is not just targeting white people. Minorities are now experiencing it and from reading a lot of these posts are in shock. Get used to it. It has only just begun.

I don't see anything bad with saying "I just beat a f ucking Mexican". And this is coming from a Mexican-American. If he would of used the term "beaner" or "wet back" then yes, it would have been offensive. Other than that I really don't see the point of the WBC getting pissed off.

I thought Broner's comment was racial,, insensitive and stupid, but not necessarily racist. I think he was trying to make light of taking on all comers and rhyme. He even said Africans can get it and he is African-American. He even took back his half-heartedly apologized in front of the camera after getting chastised by Jim.

I think Broner should either be asked to apologize or fined, but not suspended. The WBC hasn't done much to keep boxers in check for stupid comments in the past, this is a stupid way of doing so and will be hard for other organizations to take them seriously. With 4 other belts on the line champions may even start avoiding them if they are over the top with their demands.

I think it will be good for the TV networks and belt organizations to help clean up the sport, but the punishments should fit the crime and be applied fairly to everyone. This was stupid and over the top.

Broner isn't a racist based on that outburst. He's a ****ing idiot, that's for sure, but a racist? Definitely not.

I actually found it quite funny which is rare as normally he bores me to tears.
