WBC Suspends and Demands a public apology from Adrien Broner

isn't that what Broner wanted? Publicity? He gets this kind of publicity and all he has to do is apologize.. Which is more publicity.

What he said was fairly accurate. He did win the fight and the guy is of Mexican heritage. I think the real problem here is that Broner is a ****y, ignorant mother****er and most people here really just don't like his ass.

 

After the fight WE were even buggin on him overrating the win. Broner clearly won.

i defend him lot on here when it comes to boxing or his chin at least. he was not trying to be a biget just talking more trash after the fight. the only thing made it bad was the f bomb had he said i just whopped a mexican jim he would have never got in trouble. hell jim would not had even told him to have some class.

i have to admit broner is **** 1 right now. im using that word for his connery in the ring.

Twatever. I don't know where you're from, but here we commonly refer to people of Mexican heritage as Mexicans, people of Puerto Rican heritage as Puerto Ricans, etc. If he was standing next to a white guy and you were trying to point him out to someone, you wouldn't say "that American guy". You would say "that Mexican guy" and there would be no confusion. There was nothing inherently racist about what Broner said. The mother****er is of Mexican heritage, he looks Mexican and he was wearing Mexican flag trunks. Around here we call that a Mexican.

 

What a surprise the most racist posters who are quick to play the race card on everyone else are defending Racist Broner...

I seriously don't see how it was racist. If he said "I beat the **** out of a mexican" and kept pressing his mexicanness for no apparent reason I could see the argument. But when he says stuff like "I'm the can man, anyone can get it americans, africans, mexicans" he's just making a (rather lame) play on the can in those words and not singling out any specific nationality or ethnicity. It's not the first time Broner has recited his 'can man' piece. He's said that **** a number of times. I really don't think it's racist.

 

This is absolutely rediculous, he said he beat a Mexican, how is that racist??? I don't care for Broner, but this is completely unfair and completely absurd.
