I don't consider what Broner said as being racist. As others have said, he was just trotting out his well worn 'can' joke.
I think the point that he is trying to make (although he is wrong) is that he can beat anyone in the world, Ameri-can, Mexi-can, Afri-can 'can' get it etc.
I think he is a moron but I am not sure that he is racist.

If he did in fact have Mexican fans, I'm not sure many were left after his post-fight joke.

What he said wasn't close to being racist. The WBC reps probably misinterpreted his comments. I hope they back track their thoughts. They are setting a bad precedent.

He said "shout out to my Mexican fans. They may come to see me lose or win or just talk **** but they come to see me" something along those lines.

Sounds like he was being ass again.

And I think the biggest problem with the quote was that he didn't beat the **** out of anyone. He got the nod agianst an overmatched opponent but it was hardly convincing.

Broner doesn't have the intelligence to know the difference between Racist and just plain Offensive.
The mans a lowlife classless peice of ****, and the fact that some on here are impressed by his antics, speaks volumes about the kind of clowns that frequent these boards.
This isn't a race issue, this is about conducting yourself properly when your in the public eye, BUT i suppose if your target audience are all classless lowlifes, then the only people that are offended, are those who tune in purely to see Broner get his **** pushed in.
Lets hope Broner makes good his boasts about taking on the best at 140, cos i'll cherish every second of him being taught some humility.

Did he even say anything? He beat a Mexican?

    Is that racist in America?

I don't really get it coming from Ireland. Doesn't seem like he said much other than he's willing to face anyone? (It was disrespecful to Molina but surely not racist?)

What a ****ing joke. I hate the guy but calling that racist is laughable. If Molina won and said "I just beat the **** out of an AmeriCAN" nobody would say **** about it.

The term "American" doesn't double for a minority ethnic group in this country.

"Mexican" can be used in degrogatory fashion the same as" Jew" "Black" "Asian"..etc. The man he fought was an American citizen, he was using the term to intentionally taunt a specific ethnic group that was in attendance.

Context is everything. What Broner said was absolutely racist.
