WBC to Pavlik: Pay what you owe

    "Middleweight world champion Kelly Pavlik of the United States has been approved to fight number one-ranked mandatory challenger Marco Antonio Rubio of Mexico. Pavlik, however, has not payed the sanction fees for his last two fights. If the fees are not payed within 15 days, he will be stripped of the title."

    Pavlik just got a big paycheck form the Hopkins fight, he'd better write a check quickly.

    Pavlik of all people should afford to pay those dues. No excuses. If the guys making a tenth of the money he is making can pay the dues, so can he.

    I predicted that Pavlik would vacate his titles or fight Abraham A.S.A.P if he lost to Bernard.

    He does not consider himself a champion anymore.
    It's a shame.

    This is the kinda thing he shouldn't have to worry much about and his team should probably be onto it. Pretty stupid letting it get to this point, its the last thing he would want running through his head.

    Sulaiman is right. These boys use the belts to become big and then they're suddenly too big to pay their dues like everyone else. Screw that! Drop the belt if you're too big for your boots.
