Arreola was just banned from the WBC rankings not fighting. He can fight anyone he wants.

This is what I really don't understand. Is this not the WBC rules?:
No standing 8 count
No 3 Knockdown rule
Fighter can be saved by the bell in the last round only
10 point must system is in effect
Only the referee can stop the fight
3 judges score
Accidental head butt:
Technical Draw up to the end of the fourth round
Goes to the scorecard after the fourth round

So the corner can not even (officially) stop the fight anyway...
I remember watching a fight recently where the corner threw in the towel and the ref threw it out of the ring, letting the fight continue...anyone remember what fight that was??

with all the bone head moves the wbc has recently been making, i think the worst is disrespecting their champion (berto) by making the pac cotto fight for a diamond belt:-( Their spitting on their own champ, and look like ****ing fools

 

WBC probably gets China to make their new belts out of plastic!

 

What the hell are these guys trying to do?, if they want to make changes then look for good changes to make rather than banning and making things worse. Arreola gets banned for swearing yet I could mention a long LIST of fighters who fought for their title that used words FAR worse than Arreola could ever dream of using and they said/did nothing about it. Banning fathers is idiotic too, a fighter should be free to bring whoever the hell he feels most comfortable with in the corner.
