No, Guzman is fighting on Setanta in Scotland May 3rd. Angulo and Kirkland are on the Gamboa card against some fighters who should give them competitive fights.

By the way, another future P4P'er is featured on May 3rd, CHARLIE Z! I can't wait.

I care more about Zelenoff-Hartley than I do De La Hoya-Forbes. Quite frankly, I hope Forbes wins a decision, just to spoil Floyd's next huge payday with De La Hoya. It's not gonna happen though.

We've got Eromosele Albert vs. Kirkland, he's got dominant wins over Banks, Edourd and Campas at the moment, seems a decent B fighter. Not sure who I favour here, you?

I've seen all 3 of those Albert fights on FNF's, he put a shredding on Edourd, it was nasty.

For Angulo we have Richard Guttierez, saw him fight Clottey live on Boxing after Dark in late 2006 and then he was also on FNF's vs. Luciano Perez, definitely favour Angulo. He gave Clottey a lot of trouble more so due to Clottey's issue's, looked horrible against a journeyman in Perez at 154.

 Yeah, I'm 100 times more excited about the Charlie fight and I'm hoping Forbes cracks Oscar's glass liver and retires him.

Who cares about DLH-Forbes, frankly, every boxing fan should be irritated with the way Golden Boy has abused Steve Forbes, a decent fighter down at 140 with bad decisions and now is giving him a free pay day of course, but another assured loss.

I wish they'd have just treated the guy fair. He'd have had a title shot with the likes of Malignaggi perhaps and he'd have had a good shot at that.

If Forbes wins, everybody better thank him for the service he's done in preventing Joy Boy from doing us all a disservice as boxing fans. However, I'd bet Joy Boy would fight DLH anyway even if DLH did lose officially, that's just how shameless he is, they'd find some way to excuse it.

Albert is a tough fighter who'll bring his A game every time out, so I imagine he'll give Kirkland a run for his money based upon what I've seen of him on ESPN2. Haven't seen anything of Kirkland though other than his fight with Conyers where both were dropped in the opening stanza, so I can't really comment.

Hmm...Gutierrez? Decent fighter from the two fights I saw him in. Never seen ANYTHING with Angulo, so this card is one I'm really anticipating. It's always nice to get a new look at promising up and coming talent, especially when they're pinned against quality opponents who could either potentially expose some weaknesses or make them look like the next big things.

Wouldn't be the first time the welterweight Joy Boy fights a guy coming off a loss.

Are you going with a UD or KO for De La Hoya?

I saw Kirkland destroy somebody on Shobox, but I do not remember it very well, I also got a couple of glimpses of Kirkland struggling with somebody on Shobox even further back, but have no memory of it.

I know Albert quite well, I may favour him actually.

At the very least, it should be an entertaining fight that I can't make a cemented pick on either way, evenly matched, that's the best types. Albert throws a lot of punches and is pretty slick, Kirkland's a hard puncher.

I've seen Angulo on Shobox, he KOed somebody pretty easily, pressure fighter with good power, Guttierez is a pressure fighter with lesser power, if not any at all at 154 it seems, but at 147 he could punch some...

I heavily favour this Angulo guy actually thinking about it, by knockout.

A good night of boxing no less...

Gamboa, Mijares, Soto and two competitive match ups with 154 contenders around the same level instead of just building them up against cans.

    KO...

But, even though I hope and pray that Forbes can somehow pull off a miracle just for the sake of the integrity of boxing, I at least want him to make DLH look like ****. Maybe DLH's inactivity will still be in form and he'll have some ring rust and drop some rounds to Forbes.

If Forbes pulls a running, pot shotting game and at least makes DLH look bad for a few rounds, I'll be satisfied because it'll shame the Joy Boy-Hoya rematch well enough.

Do you know anything about Richard Gutierrez's chin? It will be interesting to see what happens when somebody can take Angulo's punch and take him past the first round.

Seems decent, but that was at Welter, Clottey buzzed him a few times and in my opinion, Clottey's no power puncher.

I think Angulo gets Guttierez early.

I was debating about ordering this card, but HBO has a good card going on with three good fights... so I will be watching the Mijares-Munoz PPV on sopcast.

...but I am amped for the Mijares fight. My dad's side of the family is from Durango, Mexico. Gomez Palacio is right next to where my dad grew up. They're loving Mijares down there right now.

This is from the first website that showed up when I typed in the title of the event, it's got a good detail of the event and I personally liked what I saw in the highlight here, a fighter who dares to be great.

Would be something if he unified both of those divisions in good time, maybe Joy Boy ought to adopt a similiar attitude to Mijares, unify divisions and fight the best guys in the division, then repeat in the following divisions that you want to go for.... hmm, that sounds like what a confident champion would do.

Fighters like Mijares gain a real fanbase, win/lose or draw, I am behind him 100% in any of his fights.
