Let him fight in September a voluntary and then start negotiations with Povetkin and everybody is happy :)

And btw. I dont see the WBC sanctioning a unification with Wlad in 2016!

I maintain that the idea has been Szpilka all along.

As soon as we saw Molina and Szpilka on them WBC rankings, and Artur fighting regularly on PBC cards.....

I knew it would be Szpilka, Molina then WBA titlist, Pianeta.:good

Apparently chances of them fighting later this year are slim. I bet Povetkin-Wilder in early 2016 and the winner against Fury-Klitschko winner later that year.

Read the WBC bylaws: when a fighter wins a vacant title, his first defense must be a mandatory.

When a fighter wins a title against a sitting champion (even one who won a vacant title, as Wilder did), he has to make a mandatory defense within a year.

In Wilder's case, there was no mandatory contender when he won the title because Povtekin-Perez eliminator hadn't happened yet.

Suliamon now saying Wlad vs Wilder won't happen until 2017. WBC working with Haymon to protect Wilder. Trying to manufacture a big star for American money.

    :rofl:patsch

Wlad will likely be retired in 2017 what a clown for even talking about a fight so far out anyway. And it is doubtful Wilder will have his belt then either.

    Over at the scene.
It's completely disgusting what the WBC is doing creating a career for Wilder. He never deserved the title fight in first place over more deserving fighters.
