One of Kyotaro Fujimoto or Johann Duhaupas seems like the natural choice. But WBC may include someone else to fill the gap. :D

Fujimoro is scheduled to face Joseph Parker so he is out.
I think Duhaupas may be the choice. Or Szpilka. However Molina will probably exit their ratings and they will bring in another contender for the list.

Why does it take so long? Surely they could fight this september / October?

I am sorry. I didn't know about Fujimoro. Parker seems quite busy. Well, he didn't have a lot of work over the weekend.

WBC is ready to oblige so it may be Andrey Fedosov who would replace Molina after all.

Of course they could but they want to keep Beyonce out of harm's way as long as it is possible.

Duhaupas would be a good opponent, tbh.

Expect We Brook Crooks to let Wilder feast on bums. After the Molina it's CLEAR what a real contender with even moderate punching power would do to this manufactured fraud.

The WBC seriously has AJ at #2 already?

    I'm a massive fan but that's silly.

I'd like to see him fight Jennings or Thompson to put his foot down on his claim as the #1 American HW.

Wilder better steer as far clear from Fedosov as humanly possibly.

Fedo would literally blow him out the ring.:good:good:good

What's the point of having an eliminator fight (Povetkin vs Perez) if the winner won't get a belt fight for a full year?

Stiverne had his mando fight like 7 months after winning the belt while Wilder will go 1,5 years fighting cab drivers? How's this fair? This is jacked. Hard.

Aj at number 2 is a joke. He is talented obviously but the resume doesn't warrant that rating yet. But to be honest a lot of their list is off.

    Go read the WBC bylaws.

Anytime someone wins a vacant title, their first defense is a mandatory.

    That's been the rule forever.

Anyone who wins from a sitting champion has to fight the mandatory contender within a year.

That leaves plenty of time to organize a fight with Tyson Fury.

Or Anthony Joshua. Apparently Joshua is #2 on the WBC rating?

Fury or Joshua in the UK is a bigger payday, so why not? Wilder could demand 75% of the purse....more than he'd get fighting Klitschko 50/50.

Povetkin in Moscow has got to be a huge payday....and potentially a more winnable fight for Wilder than Joshua, Fury, or K2. Major risk for Wilder. But it's almost a 50/50 if Povetkin comes to the USA. Wilder's rangy athleticism might win him a UD vrs Povetkin if he keeps his distance the whole fight.

I hope Wilder fights one of these 3 instead of taking the fight vrs. Wlad right away.
