Yes, WBC worked hard on making this fight, but Cotto behaved as an ungrateful pig, so WBC had to take the belt. Cotto's purse announced today is $15 mil (with Canelo $5 mil), so 3% sanctioning fee publicly posted on the WBC site would be actually $450,000. It means that they did cut it to $300,000 for Cotto, but he still refused to pay. I doubt that Cotto's split would be 75% if he didn't have the WBC belt, so he deceived everybody -- Canelo, WBC and Golovkin. He is the scumbag in this situation.
