    Round 7

Hidalgo is landing his right hand from outside, and staying offline from Zaleta's jab. Good head movement by Hidalgo. Clinching where needed. Zaleta isn't landing anything. Hidalgo is stepping back and bending his neck, making Zaleta miss almost all his jabs. Some back-slapping in the clinches, but no real effective infighting. Body punches from outside by Hidalgo. Left hooks to the body traded both ways. Hidalgo pot shots from outside with jabs and overhand rights to the head of the taller man.

    67-65 Hidalgo

    Nava vs. Martinez?

Different venue from both Polanco and Chihuahua, and it was for the WBA title besides (so there would be no incentive for the WBC to air it).

Ah, that's right, that was for the WBA, huh? Eh, I blame the lack of (sleep) oxygen to my brain for that error.

    Round 8

Big right hands by Hidalgo!! He slams forth with them, and presses against Zaleta against the ropes. The ref peels him off. Hidalgo keeps sealing himself up against Zaleta like Seran wrap and working overhand rights at short range. The ref keeps splitting them. Good shots by Hidalgo in the exchanges, although Zaleta is landing hooks to the face. The ref has his work cut out for him, calling for breaks and yelling "ai ai ai, oi oi oi!" and "Box!". Lots of clinches and breaks. BIG EXCHANGE. Hooks for Zaleta, straight rights for Hidalgo. Body shots by Hidalgo as they come together and tie up again. The referee gets between them and shoves them apart with a hand on each. Good right uppercuts and left hooks by Hidalgo, throwing in combination and forcing Zaleta to hold.

    10-9 Hidalgo

    77-74 Hidalgo

Honestly, this will be a robbery if it goes the way I think it might..

A lot of close rounds, but not quite that close..

Getting knocked down in the third may wind up having hurt Hidalgo..

    Yep, good call.

Hidalgo was a good sport about it though. Seemed as though, he didn't mind the decision.

Yeah. For a guy who's only won three quarters of his bouts as a pro, he's definitely made my "want to see again" list. Gutsy, tough and a good gas tank...despite the tendencies to catch a bit of gonad. :yep

I see he lost via KO1 to Daiki Kameda. :think In Mexico, too.

Round 1 (I assume; WBC just cut to this after the end of Zaleta vs. Hidalgo)

edit: NO, this is round 12

Castellanos is landing some wicked right hands over the top. Rizo is landing right hooks and straight left hands of his own. Both are throwing mean shots from outside while standing straight up. Castellanos is landing a bit harder, it seems. Rizo is buzzed by a straight right, but answers right back without giving an inch. Left by Rizo. Right by Castellanos.

    10-9 Castellanos

WTF???!?!?!?! They showed a single round, and then cut to the reading of the decision.

    Castellanos won on points.

    WTF!?!?!??!!

Why show only one round and not the other eleven? :pc
