Sanabria lands a right hand, then moves to his right. Ramonal gets inside with a diving right to the body and clinches. Taps to the sides by Ramonal while tied up. Big left hooks by Sanabria!! Ramonal flips his gloves up into Sanabria's sides while leaned up against him. Jabs and rights from outside by Sanabria, landing nicely with straight punches while held upright. Good circular movement, jabs and hooks by Sanabria. Good boxing. Ramonal walks into some jabs, right through his own gloves. They lean together and both dig to the body. Jabs by Sanabria backing out. Ramonal is warned for leading in with his head. Ramonal ties up, and a break is called. Wide left hook to the body by Ramonal, and an even wider uppercut. Sanabria catches him and pushes him back. Uppercut inside by Sanabria. Slap over the top by Ramonal. Taps to the kidneys by Ramonal. Sanabria backs up and lands a left hook to the ribs as Ramonal presses forward.

Well if the PI had any worthwhile goods to export, maybe Ramonal would have a sponsor too.

 

Round 3

Ramonal dives in with a left hook to the body. Sanabria is backed up to the ropes and flops forward into Ramonal, resting. Ramonal is dusting Sanabria's head with overhands shooting up above his gloves. Sanabria lands a low blow, and Ramonal drops like a sack of potatoes!! Ramonal is in agony. He's milking his time, staying on the ground for quite a while. Almost a full minute. He gets up and nods at the ref, good to go. Sanabria immediately moves in and they lean into a clinch. Break. Clinch. Break . BIG COMBO BY SANABRIA!! Hooks and rights to the head. Ramonal holds. Heads smash together. Ref warns both. BIG CRAZY COMBO BY SANABRIA, hooks high and low, and uppercuts. Ramonal is backed up to the ropes by another crazy flurry. Ramonal keeps pumping his left jab and trying to tie up. Sanabria jabs and gets grabbed. Ramonal lands a quick jab to the mouth.

Round 4

Lots of clinches and head clashes. Referee getting impatient, and docks Ramonal a point. Big hooking combos by Sanabria. Ramonal is forced to hold. BIG HOOKS!! Head and body!! Ramonal is driven down to the mat by a rocket of a right hand to the eyeball!!

Sanabria wins, KO4!!!!

A win over Rocky Juarez, a near shutout of solid journeyman Pedro Navarrete, now two successful bids for the WBC Silver title...just the one blemish, falling short against Castellanos two years ago...

 

Victor Zaleta vs. Raul Hidalgo, 8 rounds @ super flyweight

 

Round 1

Good steady hooking by Zaleta, with Hidalgo trying to hammer either fist over at him on the inside. Better shots landing by Zaleta, who is the ring general. Good defense and control of distance, and more precise with his left jabs and hooks. Hidalgo down at the end of the round, but ruled a slip.

Round 2

Hidalgo slams away with left and right hooks over the jabs of Zaleta, and manages to back him up to the ropes!! Hidalgo ascendant! Zaleta is in some trouble, laying back against the ropes under fire. Hidalgo lands some good shots to the face, and Zaleta holds. They spin and release. Uppercut inside by Hidalgo. Clinch. Break called. Jabs by Hidalgo. Scissoring combo by Hidalgo. Left hook by Hidalgo. Jabs by Zaleta. Head clash during an exchange. Low blow by Hidalgo. Zaleta sells it. Time given. Hidalgo opens up with a huge combination of can-openers!! Zaleta is hurt and has to hold on!!! Stalling, wasting time!!! Hidalgo can't finish him off, throwing wild shots but getting tangled up.
