You have to really push down on the naked button to get it to stick and "take". BIG RIGHT HAND BY ZALETA OUT OF NOWHERE!!! OH MY GOD!!!! HIDALGO DOWN IN A HEAP, IN A ROUND HE HAD BEEN WINNING AFTER HAVING SEIZED MOMENTUM IN THE SECOND!!! WOW!! HE IS UP AT SEVEN. Hidalgo holds, stifling Zaleta and disallowing any more big shots. Body shots by Hidalgo inside.

Round 4

Big left hooks to the body by Zaleta. Hidalgo holds. They trade. Hooks from either side by Hidalgo, shouldering Zaleta back into a corner. Uppers to the body by Zaleta. Good action. Big shots traded both ways. Zaleta spins himself out of alignment with a wild left hook. Hidalgo pushes him to the ropes, softly tapping the body. Zaleta puts his guard up and stalks in, throwing hard left hooks when up close. Hidalgo snaps out a 1-2 and then an uppercut, missing, then holds. Long clinch. Broken up. Zaleta blocks some jabs, then throws a wild hook and right hand combo. Clinch. Big combo by Hidalgo, missing, missing, missing, LANDS A BIG RIGHT HAND. Zaleta's head snapped back. NOW ZALETA LANDS A RIGHT. Uppercut by Hidalgo. Zaleta blocks some jabs and is a bit off balance leaning forward. Overhand by Zaleta, missing.

Round 5

Hidalgo is throwing lots of shots up into the ribs of Zaleta. Many are straying a bit south, below the belt but not necessarily on the crotch. Zaleta is leaning into Hidalgo and trying to land his jab and wild sweeping rights. Zaleta misses with almost everything from outside, and much inside. Hidalgo is throwing away uppercuts, missing as well. Left hooks to the body do land for Hidalgo. BIG RIGHT BY ZALETA. Hidalgo leans back and lands his own big shots. Wow. Every time one guy gets the upper hand it's snatched away. Hooks to the body by Hidalgo. Lots and lots of hooks to the body by Hidalgo. Right to the face by Zaleta. Clinch. Break. Hook up top by Hidalgo. Uppercuts by Zaleta.

Round 6

Hidalgo jabs to the body and flaps out with either arm, landing to the shaggy hi-top and sideburns of Zaleta. Lots of blocking and left-hooking by Zaleta, taking little risk and getting little reward. Hidalgo is forcing the fight. Wild shots by Hidalgo, and wide open to counters, but he's smacking Zaleta about the face and just getting more leather on his opponent than he's taking. Lots of simultaneous left hooks.

I think after these final two rounds in Chihuahua we'll be jumping straight back to Polanco for the actual main event of the evening (Castellanos vs. Rizo) live - assuming the WBC people have timed this properly...
