This is bull****. After the ref stopped it, and allowed it to start again, he ultimately stopped it before any real damaging blows hurt Montiel.

Guys watch the knockdown again. As Montiel was falling to the canvas, Mora had to jump over him to avoid contact and was looking and pointing at Donaire to his corner. Mora did not see Montiel going into his convulsions.

I thought the same thing when I first watched it, why is he letting Montiel continue? After seeing the replay, I was more understanding. Montiel did get up and was give another chance. Mora stopped it when Montiel showed he was defenseless.

That's judgement call on the part of ref. Knowing that it is a title fight, he gave the champ all the chances to defend his crown. I'm sure it's gonna be more controversial if the fight was stopped immediately after Montiel suprisingly stood up from that punch.

The fact is . . . the ref was quick to stop the fight immediately after seeing Montiel was unable to defend himself anymore.

What's Sulaiman's problem? Montiel was medically check immediately in the hospital and was declared cleared from any injury and was releasing statements to the media immediately after.
