WBO Confirm Lightweight Champ Terry Flanagan Moves To 140

I'm sure Warren will promote him as a "multiple weight class world champion!" lol

It'd be the perfect fight for one of those double KO endings.

 

but if that is the case, why has he left the division and not the promotional company? unless he thinks Frank will get him fights at 140 as its such a wasteland

Sweet! Hope this means we don't have to wait longer for Garcia-Linares. The WBC said they were ordering it, they need to tell them to sort things out and get it on early next year. I've said this a few times, but that's simply the most logical fight in boxing right now.

If Flanagan-Hooker happens for the WBO strap, would be good fun to see the winner of that match of exruciating to watch pretenders get ktfo by the winner of Garcia-Linares.

 

Maybe we should look at Flanagan then. He probably sees picking up another title at 140 less risky than losing to Linares

Flanagan was on twitter this week giving Mikey Garcia a blank saying he was about to fight Linares. Garcia was saying "just say yes" to a fight and TF wasn't entertaining it whatsoever.

I sort of gave him a pass because I was under the impression Linares was almost done but now he is moving up, away from Linares, waited until Crawford moved on and gave Garcia a miss.

I am British but I can't defend that sort of behaviour, totally embarrassing.

Yep. He knew as well as anyone that Linares was ready and willing to give him a schooling and so ran to 140 the second he heard Crawford was moving up.
