WBO: Haye Mandatory To Wlad

you havent mentioned who wlad should face instead...just that it shouldnt be an Englishman

 

**** there are some good fights for Wlad. Wlad vs Price, Fury, Helenius. Much more interestign than Haye. It would be awesome. How about Haye clears out some of the smaller guys.

The guy who got schooled a year ago by the guy Haye just sparked out, and hasn't fought since?

People show their bias when it comes to Haye, they just don't think about the **** they start typing

 

Helenius or Pulev would make better opponents than Haye. Forcing Wlad to fight Haye again, who he so recently outclassed, would be pointless. Letting Haye build up an head of steam by fighting some top HWs first, would be far more sensible. If Haye were to win those fights then Haye could make statements to the media about how he has improved, and would be more competitive this time.

 

What don't you agree with about that statement... Delboy had Vitali crying into Wlads breast after nearly stopping him, Haye knocked him out in 5 rounds

While I like Chisora, and was impressed with Haye's KO, there's no way that win should put Haye in a mandatory position. This is a clear money move for the WBO. And who even wants to see this? Didn't this fight destroy Sky PPV in Britain, and isn't Haye blacklisted from HBO? I don't know, if Haye fought a legitimate contender--Pulev, Arreola, Povetkin, Adamek--and got this spot, it'd be fine, but not this way. :-(

WBO has made some strange decisions in the past 48 hours.

 

Haye v Vitali, then Haye v Wlad for WBC & WBO! BOOM!

 

I have no problem with the WBO putting Haye on #1 position in their rankings.

a) this doesn't mean he's the mandatory challenger. Just means he's the #1 in the rankings. Making someone the mandatory is a separate decision of the council, sometimes coming off a box-off between the #1 and #2 ranked contenders.
b) Rather have Haye on #1 than bums like Boytsov, Helenius or God knows who else. Haye ain't the greatest but he's the best of the bums.

 

eliminate the WBO should not be recognized...there is a need for an international boxing board and rid boxing of the garbage

You could see from how passionately Vitali cuddled Wlad straight after the fight how relieved he was

 

I don't care who Wlad fights next so long as is isn't The Big Toe.
