Because he was still going life and death with JMM and losing to the likes of EM back then. PBF was prime back then to and would have beaten Pac worse back in 2009 than he did in 2015. Pac was more flawed limited and reckless back in the day. He was a sucker for the right hand and counter punchers. He didn't have the ring IQ to deal with PBF an would have simply tried to overwhelm PBF with speed and angles which wouldn't work with no plan B. The older Pac was a much smarter fighter than that version.

 

That isnt a fact but an opinion. What is fact is that Manny had ferocity and athleticism back then, the version that Mayweather beat lost to Jeff Horn, and didnt look impressive in the twighlight of his career. Mayweathers best win lost to Horn

 

The version that PBF beat also went on to beat Bradley rather easily.

PBF was always a better athlete than Pac and was faster with better reflexes to. Novices felt that Pac was faster and they were fooled because he was only faster when throwing in combination. With single shots PBF held the speed advantage and that's much more usable speed in a boxing match because you're not landing or throwing combos against PBF. Lastly Pac still wouldn't be able to get around PBF's ability to control range and distance distance, this is the real reason why he can't beat PBF.

 

Pacman was the better athlete. Mayweather beat a shot Pacman, I would have loved to see this fight back in 2009.

 

You're a fool if you think Pac was a better athlete than PBF. PBF had much better reflexes and faster feet than Pac did. Pac was a good athlete just not as good as PBF and not as good of a boxer either. Zab Judah was a better natural athlete than PBF much in the same way as Andre Dirrell is a better natural athlete than Andre Ward.

 

Floyd relied on his reach advantage in many of his fights, his style didnt require the intense athleticism that Pacmans style required.

 

Sure it did. Do you realize the type of reflexes that are required to throw and land a pull counter? Then duck or slip the punch coming back? PBF did this hundreds of time during his career. That move alone shows that he had better reflexes and was the better natural athlete. Pac had fast hands and threw very fast combos he also had fast feet but he would never be able to outmaneuver PBF around the ring at any point.

That's ludicrous, Floyd relied on his skills period. He did whatever he needed to do and did it better than Pac at any phase in Pac's career. He is just a better all around fighter than Pac.

It did count check the record book on top of that PBF was older and past his prime as well. PBF UD #48 now then and forever.
