Strangely enough Pac isn't going for the rematch, usually when a fighter feels they were robbed they go for the rematch immediately, Pac isn't because knows whats up :yep
This is what I find odd, I mean Manny rematched Marquez, Rematched Morales when Morales beat him. With Tim, Nahhhh Manny is heading to Mexico
Cynical? I try not to be too harsh on judges because I have an easier time scoring fights in person at small venues. They have the better seat. Sound counts. Problem is that most of the big fights have much larger audiences watching on TV. They have a different perspective. I finally watched a good, clear copy of the fight and I can't score the fight for Bradley based on that. TV brings a dilemma to the sport. The majority of the paying fans are not ringside.
Claims he can't sell the rematch because it was so 'one sided'. Seems to me lots of people would be tuning in to see 'justice served.
Because ticket brokers told Arum they weren't buying tickets for the rematch as the whole world saw a one-sided fight. The first fight didn't sell out at MGM as there were 3,000 remaining tickets.
IF, big IF, Pac keeps fighting the path seems clear. He needs a decisive win over Marquez that sells very well. He then needs to do the same with Bradley and finish up with Mayweather. I just don't see him as the same guy now that he fights part time though.
Marquez gets robbed = Nothing Pacquiao gets robbed = [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkcyX_TqP60[/ame]
a sanctioning body can not overturn a decision they can however give the title back ala barerra morales no 1
Arum does not want to do the rematch because he WANTS Bradley to hold the WBO title and milk that cow for all it's worth.. The WBO title and a controversial decision over Manny Pacquiao makes Tim Bradley easier to sell. Fact is, Pac is going to do big numbers with or without the title. If a rematch does occur, it will not be until sometime late next year after he's gotten Tim a couple of title defenses to justify him as the legit WBO Champion.
