There's a lot of question marks surrounding Fundora.

Was the loss against Mendoza a fluke, as in, Mendoza landed a lucky punch?

Was the win against Tszyu a fluke, as in, the only reason why he beat Tszyu was because of the accidental illegal elbow?

    Pretty cool fight.

Time to fight Ennis then retire, it’s only a matter of time before someone takes him, it might even be Ennis, but no shame in that if he did, but I’d still be picking Crawford as of now.

That shouldve been the case. Since that didnt happen next best thing is giving him a chance at another belt ASAP

Yeah. For me there was too much drama in the 1st Fundora fight to let go on without an immediate rematch. But, you're right, he has the chance to pick up another belt and get the winner of the Crawford, Fundora fight.

I see what you’re saying but Tim and Spence both lost their title fights so if they get a title shot straight from their losses then they should think themselves very lucky, let’s be honest they shouldn’t be getting a look in on a title shot right away, iam not saying they are worthy but they have to join the back of the cue.
No matter the circumstances you don’t deserve to challenge for a world title shot on the back of a loss.

Yeah that’s one way to look at it but the point is that he lost within the rules of the sport, he was very unlucky in the manner of the loss but that isn’t enough to warrant an immediate rematch.

There was serious talk about Spence fighting Fundora. How is Spence more deserving than Tszyu? Spence could have gotten a sho
I think it depends on how the champ looses. A one sided whoopin, then back to the line, but a close or highly contested match, I feel he should get a chance to get it back. Actually, the new champ should show respect and give him the rematch. let's be honest, Tszyu didn't need to fight Fundora. Especially on such a short notice.

If Spence is ahead of Tszyu in the queue then there is something very wrong. Tszyu would beat Spence like a red-headed stepchild.

I agree with all this but it’s just not how it works these days, iam suprised there was no contractual rematch clause like.
Spence isn’t more or less deserving of the fight, he is the better option for fundora though as he almost certainly will bring more money to the table.
I know he was absolutely demoralised by Crawford but that is Crawford, there’s a still a lot of fans that think he’s still a force, I think Spence probably beats fundora, Crawford probably beats him but it’s a nightmare for him stylistically and Tim had a hard time against him but I think he would have worn him down had it not been that random top of the head cut

There is some speculation going on that Crawford might call it quits but it seems to have been generated by Hearn.

Hearn just mad Bud aint sign w him.

Bud and Fundora have 30 days to negotiate a fight ordered 8/28..so until 9/28. Nonetheless, Fundora manager alrdy said he hasnt heard from Team Crawford and doesnt expect to until ~Sep 15thish when Bud will find out if he has any chance of getting Canelo. If not, expect Fundora to be next as he has two belts alrdy: WBC, WBO. Meanwhile, Bud owns the WBA and Murtazliev is fighting Tszyu next.

Bud potentially only needs 2 fights to unify at 154 and that would be done something for someone 36+ years.

Either way, nobody will hear ANYTHING till ~Sept 15-20th. We will have much better idea then
