If the fight with Eubank falls through (fingers crossed), how do you see Smith vs Janibek playing out?
Given the lack of world-class match-ups at the moment, I'm excited at the prospect of this fight.

Finally, we'd get to see Janibek against a World Class fighter and how he stacks up. I see Janibek coming out to prove a point and put it on Smith in a dominant performance.

The WBO has ordered Janibek Alimkhanuly to defend his middleweight world title against Briton Liam Smith.
Both parties have 20 days to agree a deal before purse bids are called.

Team Smith still expect to fight Eubank next in a summer bout despite the WBO ordering him to fight Alimkhanuly.

Good fight, especially if Smith can take it into the later rounds.

I wouldn't consider Smith world level.

Janibek and fairly clearly. I rate Liam, but after being underrated he's now getting overrated.

He's a good fighter and peaked at barely world level, he can beat CEJs and Liam Williams etc., but Janibek is actually world level (although he's not the next coming of GGG) and Liam is actually a little past his best.

Problem is Liam likes to get into a shoot out with guys he should try and outbox. This will come down to Smith having power to make Janibek respect him. If he doesn’t then Janibek will wear him down for a late round KO.

Liam Smith is a fringe contender whose best days are behind him. Janibek should be dealing with him without too much trouble.

Well said. Janibek is beatable as we saw signs of in the Bentley fight, but not I think by Liam who would make a good show of it but likely fall short.
