They had a five judge panel review the match from April 13th. Just like the panel of three judges on the night of, this one returned a majority decision verdict for the Mexican.

Actually scratch that, it wasn't a simple majority, like "three of five judges" - they used some weird proprietary system...and determined unanimously among their five judges that Munguía won seven rounds clearly. :buitre:

    (Scene)
“[T] he WBO appointed five (5) anonymous, competent Judges from different countries (excluding Mexico and Australia), to watch the bout without audible distractions. [T]he results of these five (5) independent Judges’ scores were tabulated to clearly ascertain the rounds each fighter won using an average scale based on 60, 80 and 100 per cent. [T]hat means that 3 of the 5 officials have to agree to determine which fighter won the round.

“[T]he findings of the (5) stated that Munguia won the 3rd, the 5th and 6th by 100%; the 12th round by 80%; the 2nd, 7th and 9th rounds by 60%. Hogan won the 1st, 8th,10th and 11th by 100%; none in the 80%; the 4th round by 60. t can be established from the Judges’ scorecards that on the date of the bout Munguia won 7 rounds while Hogan won 5 rounds; and on the (5) independent Judges’ panel, Munguia also won 7 to 5.”

Why bother with it We all know the sport is BLATANTLY corrupt. We all know Hogan won that fight. We all know GGG beat Canelo TWICE !!!
We all know that if Canelo/Jacobs goes the distance Canelo will get the decision regardless. No wonder folk class boxing as fixed like the WWE because most of the big fights are

Why even fight for corrupt sanctioning body titles in the first place. The man paid his sanctioning fees and got screwed. They should refund him any sanctioning fees he paid.

Ridiculous stuff. One judge scored it 115-113 Hogan, one 115-113 Munguia, and three 114-114.

The review panel literally came back with a different result than the judges on the night but it still doesn't warrant a rematch!

Gotta love the article on the front page already giving Munguia a pass on the rematch saying there are other interesting fights. :pipi

What BS spin. He needs to rematch Hogan and prove his stripes.

He should sign with Warren and appeal again. That's how WBO operates.

Man I feel for hogan a lot. Poor guy never given a chance and then almost pulled off a big upset only to have it taken from him. Munguia should be offering the rematch to try winning in a convincing way
