Large Dan wrote that the WBO favored Lomachenko and the purse split will stay 60-40 in his favor against Russell.

Russell's team had tried to get the split changed to 50-50.

    Bummer.

The WBO was Pro-Loma anyway so it's not a surprise.

Hopefully this doesn't stop the fight from happening. Russell hasn't said it would but this fight always seemed, to me atleast, like it just wouldn't happen.

It's a good fight and would hate to see it fall apart over the money split.

I hope GRJ will still take the fight. Should have been 50/50 but oh well.

I agree it shoulda been 50/50 but if GRJ has anything about him it should be the fight and the strap that matters, just as Loma (I have no doubt) woulda taken the fair and even split.

Both guys have a chance to enter the big-time via short cut, either would be a fool to turn it down whatever the split.

    It should be 50/50.

Hope this doesnt prevent the fight from happening.

wtf? Why would it be 50/50 when the rules clearly state it should be 60/40 since it is taking place in GRJ's home country? Schafer trying to claim Lomachenko is a US resident because a house was rented in his name while he spent 2 months in the US for a training camp is ridiculous. Home advantage for GRJ means 40%.

Why would they have gone through with the whole purse deal, if they didnt want to fight in the first place?

    Dont be silly

    BS!

The US is Loma's home country of record.
Address in Cali, plus he is with a US promoter TR.

For path of least resistance to get the fight made as quickly as possible, 50/50 is fair.
GRJ will probably take the decision and mess up Loma's face in the ring.

Im certain the GBP is ready to cash out GRJ whenever. Theyve been paying him too much for too little, and they need a return on their investment.

However, it's not up to GBP IF GRJ decides he aint trying to get KTFO.

Just watch......I'd say this fight has a 1/10 chance of coming off.:-(
