http://www.latimes.com/sports/sport...utm_medium=twitter&dlvrit=53285#axzz2uwxIoY9j Looks like he'll get that title in his third pro fight instead of his second. Lets see if Gary Russell and his team have the stones for it. Fast & Fragile may pass on this for another 8 round TBA opponent.
Great news. No point Loma stepping down from World level now as he's shown he can compete with the very best at Featherweight and he will have learned more from the Salido fight then against 20 journeymen or fringe contenders. I had him losing to Salido 115-113 although i would have been fine with a draw too, he definately needs to be more active in fights and learn a better inside game rather then just clinching. I'd like to see him train with a more offensive minded trainer like Freddie Roach or Robert Garcia in order to become a more fan friendly fighter or else he'll struggle to build a fanbase in America especially with his lack of english at the moment.
Maybe they'll let Lomachenko's opponent use loaded gloves this time because "dis be duh pro gayme homeboi!"
The way Loma falls into clinches every 20 seconds, Russell's arm length will be sufficiently long. :yep
But with two championship bouts. I wonder how his confidence level will be after he takes an ass whupping from Russell? :yep
