He's the best boxer, but this won't be easy by any stretch. The field is brutal. Everyone left is big, skilled, can punch, and has a point to prove.

Excellent point, I actually wouldn't mind seeing him at HW at some point in his career. I did a mythical match up prime for prime with Eddie Chambers and he won on activity alone....still I could see him having difficulty with a good pressure fighter with heavy power and half the competitors left in the torn can fit those characteristics. I favor him but he can certainly be derailed.

Usyk will win the tournament, but he will take his time before becoming a heavyweight....................I think he would do really well there, he is fast and has angles................

Briedis will be really tough for Usyk and if he wins it'll be super tight, mark my words. Briedis has speed and movement Usyk's never seen. I give Dorticos with his skill and power a real chance too. Usyk is the deserved fave but he absolutely needs the tourney to prove himself.

And if you think Usyk against any cruiserweight is such a mismatch that you won't watch, maybe those other fights in the tourney might be pretty good and make it worthwhile, eh?

Gassiev, Briedis and Dorticos are no jokes. I don't see Usyk as a certainty to win it, though a favourite non the less.

Amateurs have nothing to do with pro boxing people do get better and it's a different game. If AJ fought Nistor and Medzhidov now he would destroy both.

Once again you are obfuscating from your original point which was that Usyk cannot beat hard hitting HW's which is not the case because he did in the amateurs and that is a direct reflection on how you will perform as a pro despite how you attempt to spin it. WSB is also a more accurate gauge on pro success in the pros and that is the format where Usyk dominated true HW's.

Listen Usyk is the real deal and will probably win the CW tourney, I have nothing against him. I think he can have some success at HW but against the top super HWs he will struggle. He lacks the size and power to deal with them.

This thread is pointless. There are few very tough competitors, and if Usyk wins it, it will be a great achievement for him.
