not likely. Usyk and Huck looked for him most difficult to fight with. Usyk : best jab in division, fast Olympic boxer, versatile, able to adjust his game. Huck : definitely better in clinch than Dorticos or Glowacki. Glowacki too looks better in clinch than Dorticos.
Dorticos needs distance to have power. These Glowacki, Huck, Briedis might cope with shorter distance and still KTFO guy.

Breidis likes that mid range. plus Dorticos has excellent work rate and a hard ram rod jab. Dorticos is gonna give him hell.

50/50. Briedis is difficult to fight with, he fights with different opponents differently. For Usyk this was his hardest fight till today.
If he will be lethargic, then Dorticos might easily defeat him by UD. If not lethargic, both will have hot night.

If the fight is in Lativa, Estonia or Lithuania, then obviously Breidis. But the fight is in Germany, so it's a toss up.

Doesn't matter, WBSS anyway doesn't uses local ref or judges for these fights. boxing orgs and sauerlands approves them and they are placed where fight will happen.
The same ref you might have in Moscow or Vegas, judges too.
Due to covid stuff, now money might come only from broadcasting companies, therefore absolutely doesn't matters where they will fight. Before covid, yes, different locations because saurelands aren't santas, better to pay for arena and undercards from tickets money.

Both men haven't fought for 15 months & are mid 30s now, its lost a bit of its shine this one.. could still be good though.

Maybe he is not good. I better prefered that sauerlad had all WBSS in Germany, preferable with referee Byrd. ;)
Without foreign money from backyards to cower Sauerland Promotion expenses for arenas and undercards.

Still, Dorticos had been completely humilitated and delivered out of the ring by Murat.
Murat had been defeated by Usyk considerably more impressive than Usyk had defeated Briedis by MD. Usyk even clearly lost last 2 rounds.
God with boxing fans in forums and youtube, not even worth to read opinions about Murat and Briedis, because more biased comments and assumptions than from Ukrainian boxing pundits and commentators.
This is only one criteria for today to compare Briedis with Dorticos.
Any fans scorecards are utter nonsense, it is like in ammy boxing ;). I wish: count he connected, I wish: count he did not connected.

I'm going with Briedis on points. Mairis isn't stupid, he'll know that Dorticos isn't to be underestimated or messed around. He's gonna keep moving as best he can, look for counters and combinations, and work on taking away Dorticos' best weapons. I'm fairly certain that Briedis' own snapping power is enough to lower Dorticos' output somewhat similar to how Gassiev's did. I've also seen no signs of weakness for Briedis in the mandible region. Not that it matters much vs Dorticos.

I'd make Briedis the slight favourite, depending on whether or not he shows up in the right frame of mind with the right game-plan. I think this could be a very, very good fight.
I'm so gassed for this one. :yaay

Briedis never underestimate opponents, otherwise afforded shittalks to increase wievership. He does not do this.

There, Glowacki and Briedis then were more precise and with better polished skills than Murat, lesser number of blows might be necessery to deliver Dorticos in concussed state. Definitely. Briedis already handled out nice KO on 250 lbs Charr and this required for him just 5 rounds and 2 punches. Not less nice to watch than prime Povetkin in fight. A level pleasure.
Murat is more fresh, younger body and really more future perspectives cos young lad. Might improve a lot each next month.

    Such a cool fight.

I *think* probably Briedis. He looked poor post injury, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for that.

You mean fight vs Gevor? Yeah, this he was able to delay for long time. It did not happened.
Gevor still after this was not able to finish 40 y.o yournyman with bad past 6 fights record ranked outside from top 100 in boxrec.
Fear to imagine this in the ring with guys like Glowacki, even Tabiti or others from real top 10.
I only disstatisfied with his fight vs french guy, really lethargic version or Briedis.

    Briedis by KO or TKO.
Gasiev was able to find him, so will Mairis.

What I think. Briedis is a higher level operator who has been a bit flat lately. I think he'll pick it up for Dorticos who is quite dangerous.

Cracking match-up on paper although this doesn't always translate into the ring.

Slightly favoring Briedis if he brings his best version but wouldn't want to bet on this one.
