Deal seems to be only for the semi-finals. I wonder if Sauerland is hoping that strong ratings for the semi's ups the value of the rights to the final, or are Sky holding back to see what the response is to these cards?

    Excellent news

It's been such a poor year so far for Sky with Hearn basically giving them the shaft for the USA, they really needed this.

Channel 5 did bid for Taylor’s dates but was turned down.

I hope all the semis are good fights and we get a taylor v prograis inoue v tete finals..Surely there would be a scramble for the rights?

Saulands should have done a deal with sky last year especially for the smw with Smith, Groves and Eubank. It could have been huge in this country.

5 should have went in for the whole thing, but worst if all is Boxnation not going in for it and still they charge people £12.99 a month.

Thinking about it, the UK rights to the final jump in value if Taylor makes it. Hence the deal is only for the semi's...

Realistically prograis v taylor is a super fight with 2 belts on the line! Just a pity regis doesn't get a lot of hype in the states or it would be huge.

They definitely missed a trick. Groves Eubank the biggest domestic fight of the year and then Groves Smith should have been. The promotion was terrible. Sky would have pushed the pair of them to the hilt.

Agree, the fact Sky never had rights before has cost them money. If they had rights and done their usual promotion, Callum Smith would have been a ppv headliner in his next fights.
