Pathetic, yet again that ***** silver spoon **** Hearn trying to create a monopoly on the boxing scene and tap up Taylor from Cyclone. He’ll have him signed and join Tony Sims. How can anyone think this is good for boxing?

Lol jokes, that’s a good move. WBSS deserves decent coverage, pretty happy Taylor will finally get some mainstream exposure now.

Two top fighters unifying a division in which should be a 50/50 clash. Don’t really have a problem with a PPV there. It’s 4th ranked heavyweights with no title fighting a top 15 heavyweight with no title where the problem lays.

Looks that way. Hearn will be tying up more WBSS talent no doubt as well with this coup - although by all means I think its a very good thing.

The fact that most fights these days and nearly all PPV fights are pony makes the PPV concept firmly known as pay per pudding.

If pay per pudding was based on genuine top fights with outcomes at least 40% uncertain, then the semi card in Glasgow would be PPV.

Incredible that this is not PPV yet Pudding Whyte v Pudding Rivas is - the PPV mugths have no idea they are buying Poundland fights.

The vast majority of PPV Buyers are Football hooligans who come in from the football side of things. It’s been said over and over again. The PPV Market is targeted at football fans. People buy Whyte PPV’s because of his past link to AJ.

Hearn can get away with it because he know it won’t flop. It’ll probably end up doing 400-500K because of the recent lack of big fight nights.
No point criticising PPV. It’s just buisness.

UK PPV will probably die out anyway after AJ’s gone.

I know what you mean but that's still a big disappointment. It was actually a really intriguing fight, it had the chance of being a snoozer, but it also had the potential to be really good. Tete is either in boring fights or looks explosive. Donaire is clearly not what he was but he's not finished, and one thing he will still have at bantamweight is power, I wouldn't have been ruling out Donaire against Tete. He was giving Burnett all he could handle before he got injured. Still gutted we didn't get to see how that fight was going to unfold. I think Tete vs Donaire was a really interesting clash of styles. It's also a big shame for the tournament itself. Losing a good fight and one of the titles that was being fought for.

I think Potapov is the stand in, who washed Donaire should still beat but he's not a bum at all, so that's something. Hopefully they do that instead and have Prograis as the main event

Pity tetes injury didn't happen a couple of weeks ago and Burnett could maybe have stepped in

Lol Sky broadcast deal announced and Tete withdraws wonder if uncle Frank has been on the phone.

I thought Paul Butler was the stand in.

They're saying Tete vs Donaire might just get rescheduled. Hope so.
