That looks very likely. With Zeuge, Korobov, and Yildirim more deserving than Skoglund and Cox I get the feeling top guys like Ramirez, Benevidez, and Anthony Dirrell have declined or not shown interest.

Why? He doesn't deserve a place. Korobov, Yildirm, Zeuge are all far better.

does this mean Smith v Dirrel is off?

This is starting to look like a good lineup especially if Eubank Jr joins. Some good boxers intermixed with a few wildcards.

Meh, the names in this tournament sucks so bad because the division is the worst currently. I'm excited for Cruiser though.

Your sarcasm metre is off today buddy

Would personally love to see Korobov get amongst it, such a wasted AM talent. Yildrim is already in isn't he? Wouldn't be against Zeuge either but the one for me would be Benavidez

It'll still be a fun tournament, good co-main fights for the main event (cruisers).

    Groves
    Cox
    Skoglund
    Braemer
    Smith

3 spots left. If one of those is CEJ then this tourney crowns the number 1 SMW in the world for me. How awesome if the last 3 spots were CEJ, DeGale and Ramirez.

Further news: WBSS negotiating for the winner of Eubank Jr-Abraham to enter the tournament.

Rob Brant (22-0) in discussions with the WBSS:

    If the line up is,
    Groves
    Smith
    Brahmer
    Skoglund
    Cox
    Eubank Jr/Aurthur Abraham winner
    Ramirez
    Brant

It would be a great comp with WBC, WBO, WBA, IBO all up for grabs. Winner would probs fight James degale and there would be 1 champ (probs not for long until a governing body order a mand and they get stripped)

So are the WBC giving the title to Dirrell or to Smith, what's going on?

Surely Smith wouldn't give up his shot at the title just like that considering he turned down big money to fight DeGale this summer so he could get the WBC belt first.
